Temporary Closure of Broad Street and Combe Lane 

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: 

Broad Street - from the junction with Withybed Lane, south-westwards for a distance of 377 metres and Combe Lane - from the junction with Withybed Lane, north-eastwards for a distance of 241 metres. A total distance of 618 metres. 

This Order will enable UGCS Cabling Services to carry out blockage clearance works for installation of fibre cable on behalf of Wessex Internet. 

 The Order becomes effective on 22nd July 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 27th July 2026 and last until 31st July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
