Closure of a section of Ilchester Road overnight on 13th and 14th April 2026

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Ilchester Road - from the junction with Collins Lane, north-westwards for a total distance of 129 metres. 

This Order will enable Balfour Beatty to replace chevrons and carry out vegetation works on behalf of Network Rail. The Order becomes effective on 09th April 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 13th April 2026 and last until 15th April 2026 between the hours of 21:00 - 06:00 for a total of 2 nights.
